Different ViewpointJul 18, 2010 I don't run, but I walk regularly, usually 2-3 miles at a time. I'm heavy, about 250, and am recovering from plantar faschitis. I have worn Wave Creations for several years now, and they're the only sneakers I'll buy. That plastic wave bonded into the midsole makes an enormous difference -- it's not that the shoe is softer, but rather that you get a springy feel rather than your foot smashing into the ground with each step. I have substituted Dr.Scholl Tri-Comfort insoles for the ones that came with the shoes, and find the combination heavenly. When I can I wear these all day, including my walk in the afternoon. If you're a light person, pass these by, but the more mass you're carrying, the more important it is to get a pair of these right now!
Mizuno MadnessJul 09, 2010 I got these for my husband because after a year and a half he'd worn his other pair out. The price was awesome compared to what he paid before (at least twice as much at the store) perfect fit and great quality for a runner with a 6'2" and 235lbs frame.
Mizuno Wave Creation 10 ReviewMay 10, 2010 Being a fairly heavy runner (5'10", 190lbs), I was looking for a shoe that would hold up to my heavy abuse, well I found it. The Wave Creation 10 is not the lightest of shoes, but I have not suffered from shin-splints or any other leg issues since I startred using them. I mainly run on the road but I have used them on the beach and the trail, they did great on those surfaces also. The shoe does force you to run on your mid to forefoot but I think that's a good thing. It may take you a couple miles to get used to it, but soon everything will feel very natural. I am really impressed with the Mizuno brand and plan on being a repeat customer.
Best running shoes I have ever ownedMar 24, 2010 Great shoe. I started training for triathlons about a year and a half ago. I have done several sprint triathlons, a few 10K runs and a half-marathon so far. My feet have normal pronation and normal arches, and I run about 30Km per week (with speed workouts and interval training). When I started training for triathlons, I first used Saucony with a lot of cushioning and then switched to Nike (Air Pegasus 25) with moderate cushioning, and although these were both good shoes, my legs weren't always happy. After buying the Mizuno Wave Creation 10, I felt that they were quite stiff (not much cushioning upon impact) compared to my previous shoes. This was initially disappointing, but after a couple of runs, I realized that this stiffness was exactly what my legs wanted. No matter how much I run, my legs don't hurt at all. It is counter-intuitive that a stiffer shoe is actually easier on the legs, but after I run with these shoes, my legs feel great with no pain whatsoever. So if you think that more cushioning is better for you, you may want to think again. Cheers.

Too hard for light runnersDec 01, 2009 The reason I choose this Creation 10 is I have high arches and my weekly millage is 30-40km. The shoes however seems not good for not-so-heavy runners as it is a bit too hard. I am 70kg and I could not feel the cushion.
If you are not heavy and have high arch, Wave Rider 12 is better choice.
