Solid Stability Shoe, Good for TrainingSep 28, 2009 I put 300-350 miles on these shoes, 10-25 miles a week, while training for a 10 mile run and a half-marathon. Almost all of my running was on concrete or ashphalt. I wear an 11.5 in running shoes and in this pair, though these seemed ever so slightly larger than most. I'm a mild overpronator, not heavy.
Running shoes reviews are inherently subjective, and what worked for me may not work for you, but: This is a perfectly solid pair of stability shoes that carried me all those miles injury-free, not to be overlooked. They held up well and the tread didn't wear out too fast. The transition from heel to toe is smooth, despite not being particularly well-cushioned -- if you want to feel more in touch with the road, this might be a good shoe for you. As I continued to wear them, though, they began to feel just a tiny bit bulky/cumbersome/heavy to me, and the fit wasn't perfect, though I did run some of my fastest times yet in them.
I was very satisfied with these shoes and would particularly recommend them for long, hard training miles, though I'm going to keep searching for the shoe of my dreams.
Great Running shoes...Aug 12, 2009 My 7th pair and they are great for cushin and support. If you are a runner stick with Mizuno and don't get sidetracked w/other more styleish brands.

Comfortable Stable ShoeOct 06, 2008 I have have purchased previous versions of the Wave Nirvana and enjoyed them very much. I haven't been so crazy about the styling of the recent Nirvana's, but this year's model is a great mix of performance and styling.
The cushioning and stability of this shoe is great for medium to long distance runs, but is too heavy for my shorter runs.
Overall a great distance shoe.

Great Shoe!Jul 31, 2008 I just started running about three weeks ago to begin training for a mini-marathon and wanted to get a really nice pair of running shoes. Since I already own a pair of Nirvana 3's I decided i would buy a pair of the newer version and they have not disappointed. Of all the things that ached on my body when I began training again, my feet were not one of them. Great shoe.
